HIA History

Hearts In Action started in the United States in 1987 while Mario and Suzanne Babarczy were working as children's and youth pastors in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. From a small beginning, sharing with a group of local children, the ministry has grown to doing larger meetings and international events. They ministered in camp meetings and throughout New England for five years  on the importance of children, teaching lively seminars to refresh workers and encourage more creativity in the body of Christ.

The Babarczy family established the first Latin base of Corazones en Accion in Guatemala in 1993, the main headquarters for HIA. Their missionary travels took them around the world and over the years, they have raised dozens of missionaries, worked in hundreds of schools, trained thousands of teachers, and ministered to millions of children. In 1999, the main headquarters moved from Guatemala City to a jungle base in Peten, The Ranch. Since that time more missionary works have sprung up from those who worked with them and also HIA has multilied planting dynamic works in Peru, Mexico, and Colombia. The heartbeat of this ministry continues to be sharing Christ with children and youth. Hearts teams are spreading across the globe taking making disciples around the world declare that This generation belongs to Jesus!
