Hearts in Action welcomed thirty-five leaders from six countries for our Great Commission training program from November 22nd to December 7th. During this time, students dove into intensive training sessions designed for working with children and youth, learning from each other’s experiences and building connections across cultures. Our jungle campus came alive with shared meals, late-night discussions, and moments of discovery as the group grew together!
The Great Commission training gives students a new perspective on working with young people, equipping them not only with new ideas but with a deeper understanding of how to share God’s Word effectively with the next generation. As suitcases were packed with teaching materials and resources, hearts were filled with fresh vision and purpose for the work ahead. The two-week journey at our Petén campus concluded with a graduation ceremony that marked new beginnings in ministry.
Now these leaders are heading back to their communities, ready to put their training into practice. Some will return to established children’s programs, while others are starting new initiatives. Each graduate brings their own plans for reaching young people in their corner of the world. The ripple effects will touch communities across different nations as they share what they’ve learned with their local teams. It’s exciting to think about how many children and young people will be impacted through these newly equipped leaders!
We can’t wait to hear the stories that will emerge as our graduates begin implementing their ideas and sharing God’s Word with the next generation. This graduation isn’t an endpoint – it’s just the beginning of new adventures in ministry that will shape young lives for years to come.
