Encouraging Kids to Follow Christ!

Brave Heart Camps

Despite rain and chilly temperatures, about 50 teenagers gathered deep in the jungle for an unforgettable camp weekend. Just as the skies were gray and overcast, many arrived with hearts burdened by challenges. But through powerful worship, prayer, games, and deep connections with friends, they left transformed—filled with the warmth and light of God’s love. Brave Heart Camps are not just reviving the youth; they are strengthening the next generation of church leaders.

Hands at Work, Hearts in Action

To provide raw materials for the women weaving for Jungle Fibers, Suzanne set out on a boat with a few local ladies in search of Eneya, a tall grass that thrives in the shallow waters along the shores of Lake Itzá. Harvesting the grass is no easy task, but these women work tirelessly, knowing their craft helps support their families. After cutting, drying, and weaving the fibers, they hope to see their beautiful creations—baskets, placemats, rugs, and lamps—exported through Itza Wood.

Spending time on the lake isn’t just about gathering resources—it renews hope, builds community, and strengthens this growing micro-business.

One of our favorite verses, Colossians 3:23-24, reminds us:

«Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord, not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.»

With gratitude and love,
